"Wealth" (1889)

"... There are but three modes in which surplus wealth can be disposed of. It can be left to the family or decedents; or it can be bequeathed for public purposes; or finally, it can be administered during their lives by its possessors..."

When it comes to money and basically disposing it or getting rid of it, there are thee way you can go about it:

1. It can be left to the family members of the person when the person would die.

2. It can be used for public affairs. For example, foundations, charities, ect.

Or...

3. The person who the money belongs to can spend it as they please.

I think Carnegie, says this because what he choose to do what he desired. Personally, i would do all three of the options. I would leave money to my family members, and to charities because there are many people who are less fortunate. And lastly, i would spend money on myself because i love going shopping.
